Brief Synopsis
Welcome to the realm of El-Hazard. Like a dream from a time faraway, a sweet memory lingers from the distant past. Like a kingdom that you reach, after many years of dreaming. El Hazard is the eternal homeland, and the land of never-ending adventures. As long as there is a challenging spirit, and a readiness to fly into infinity, the gate of El-hazard shalll be opened for you. Across million of nights. The realm of El-Hazard is filled with adventures and danger. The stroy starts when Makoto was transfered back into the realm of El-Hazard by a beautiful lady, Ifurita. Along with him were also transported Jinnai, his rival, Namami, Jinnai's younger sister and Fujisawa,their physical education teacher. There apart from Jinnai, the rest jooined forces with the alliance to help defend them from the buggroms who were then ruled by Diva and helped by Jinnai. They must travel and face much obstacle before they will fulfill their destiny. Gifted to them when they travelled to El-Hazard were special powers whom none of the El-Hazard residents have. In this series Makoto falls in love with Ifurita and he tries to free her from her program. Later, Ifurita decide to deactivate the Eye of God when Galus and his Phantom Tribe sabotaged it to make Roshtaria into their homeland and was transported to Earth where she waits for Makoto for 10,000 years (taking viewers back to the beginning).

Opinion
This series is really good and the humor is also top notch with a few romance thrown into it. The storyline slowly unfold as one watches on. It was a pity it ended so soon but with the T.V series out, one cannot complain much about it. Here's what I thought which really stands out. The costume design is good though not as good as the 2nd OVA. The strong point about this anime comes from the mystery surrounding Ifurita who is the person who initiated the foursome's journey to Roshtaria and later Makoto and her relationship. The ending is very touching, and must be seen with your own eyes to really feel the loneliness Ifurita felt for 10,000 years. This series is worth adding into your collection.
