05/06/97: Gnort achieved the Rank of Baron in Duel of Swords by defeating Sir Damien Cetran 5-3. G'nort Esplanade G'neesmacher Dragoon Talanador was the next to challenge Damien's position. G'nort jumped the gun originally, challenging within the first calendar month of the defense against Robert. The fault was rectified though and a proper challenge was issued when the time came.
Damien was denied in his fourth defense and lost the ring to G'nort who led the match the whole way through.

05/18/97: Challenge was made to G'nort within two days of his claiming the ring. Though accused of merely finding a new victim to stalk, Lupton est Lathadoscia maintained that G'nort had made insult to his honor. Perhaps the drive of an insult was the edge that Lupton had been lacking through his personal history of challenges. With his purpose in mind, his blade swung true. Lupton successfully overcame G'nort by the score of 5-1. The amusing thing in this challenge, was that there was no honor insulted. Lupton performed his typical superior attitude in order to insult G'nort time and again, and when G'nort performed his rebuttals, Lupton took offense as if he did nothing wrong. The entire argument was based on Lupton first insulting G'nort. As is the usual for his kind, he denies any such insults placed, because he believes his truths to be the only ones. Despite saying he never lies, he has been caught doing so several times, which in denying that, he is again lying.

06/14/97: Challenge for the Fifth title: A renegade under Overlord Dalamar Ar'Daumon, Billy went so far as to invite a queue of challenge. Three warlords took up the invitation and were scheduled to duel him in consecutive matches on the same evening...... The victims were, in order of challenge, Zaradda Eltorch, Verceterix Gavin 'ur Favre 'il Thorne and G'nort Esplanade G'neesmacher Dragoon Talanador. The combined score of all three matches was 15.5 - 6 and Billy walked away with the 5th ring still on his finger. The night was a spectacle of skill and endurance put on by the sap gloved Baron.

09/05/97: Gnort achieved the Rank of Baron a second time by defeating Skyler Jackson Chamberlain by the score of 5-1 in 6 rounds. Despite Skyler's fine performance against Jeff, it was his indifference to alignment that brought on his first and only challenge. G'nort Esplanade G'neesmacher Dragoon Talanador, issued challenged, claiming that a Baron should never ask the Overlord what his alignment should be.
The match was over before it hardly began. Six rounds into it, Gnort scored the final blow and took the ring with his 5-1 victory. Thus, Gnort was the 13th Baron to wear the 5th ring.
By luck or skill he won, but whichever it was fled him soon after. G'nort lost his next 14 official matches, finally claiming the ring cursed, and gave it to his wife, Princess Ariana Dragoon Talanador. Never once did he win a match while wearing the ring.
This did not bode well for him, as challenge had already been issued by Lupton est Dracoern, who had sworn once before never to let G'nort hold a Baron's ring if he could prevent it. When the day of the match came however, it was not G'nort but Overlord Dalamar Ar'Daumon who stepped into the ring, interceding on behalf of his friend and loyal Baron. Renegade Baron Daegarth Mithmellon stepped in on behalf of the challenger, but to no avail for Dalamar took the match.
Disgusted with the intercession but determined, Lupton entered the ring against Dalamar, and again the Overlord won out, allowing G'nort to hold possession of the ring that much longer. More typical behavior of Lupton was following that match, he followed G'nort around, calling him a coward where ever he went in order to defame his character. One has to wonder if there is a more shallow person in the Arena than Lupton.

11/27/97: Errol Faline's challenge for the 5th ring came from unusual circumstances. His true issue was with the Overlord, but as Dalamar faced challenge upon challenge of his own, Loyal Baron G'nort agreed to accept the challenge instead. As had become the pattern with Dalamar, he intercedes on behalf of his Baron, and Daegarth championed the challenger. Daegarth's loss gave Errol the opportunity he'd wanted from the first: to face the Overlord. Dal went down beneath the determine man's blade, as did the Baron after him, and Errol became the 14th holder of the 5th ring.

10/03/97: Ariana gives birth to their first and only child, a son, Locke Cyan G'nort Zorak Esplanade G'neesmacher Dragoon Talanador.

January, 98: The divorce of Prin and G'nort is made official.

03/14/98: Challenge for the First Barons Title: How loyal the Baron of the First had been, and why he'd chosen to declare himself loyal were called into vehement question when Evan sent letters declaring himself Renegade and issuing challenge to Overlord Dalamar within hours of each other. Common opinion thought his previous loyalty had been solely for his own protection. The Baron never answered those accusations publicly, keeping his reasons for his change to himself. Nonetheless, furious with the Baron's behavior, G'nort Dragoon-Talanador issued challenge for the First. With Even having already issued challenge, G'nort was placed in queue, to fight the Baron should he lose against the Overlord.
Baron Evan did lose to Dalamar in 8 rounds, and rather than wait he immediately faced G'norts challenge. This time he did not lose, retaining his ring after another 8 rounds in a 5-3 match.

03/30/98: Prin and G'norts son Locke was kidnapped, they are currently searching.

04/25/98: The return of G and Prins son, Locke Cyan, found in the company of another friend of theirs, who did not know how the boy came to be with her. She returns LC to his mother and father at the Golden Ivy Tavern safe and sound, the parents very happy to have him back.

06/06/98: Challenge for the Eleventh Barons title: The second of the four new Baron's rings was taken by Darkness, who fought through many of the best and brightest of the Duel of Swords Warlords to be the fifth-place winner of the second-quarter Warlord Tourney. Not long after accepting the ring, Darkness made a public request that as many as nine Warlords issue challenge, and he would face the full que of them. Tom Evasion and G'nort Dragoon-Talanador answered that request, and both appeared at the scheduled time to face the Baron. However, Baron Darkness himself never appeared for those duels, and was declared in forfeit of his ring. The matter was turned over to the Baron's Council to decide.
After several days debate, during which the Baron himself only came towards the end, it was decided he would be stripped of his ring and Warlord Evasion would face a Council-appointed Baron for the 11th. Should he fail against the defender, G'nort would have his chance.
AJ Bird, Bearer of the Second Ring, stood against the Warlords, and stood strong. In 12 rounds Tom's challenge was denied, and after eight rounds G'norts followed suit. Less than a month after forging, the 11th Ring was left vacant, to be offered as a prize at the next Warlord Tourney, some two months away.

10/03/98: G'nort issues challenge for the Ninth Baron's title held by his old rival Lupton est Dracoern, and is successful for his third title. Lupton had previously taken the Fourth ring from G'nort, and attempted to take the Fifth; now it was G'norts turn to bring challenge to his old enemy. The match itself was hard fought by both men, the score kept close until the very end, when the Baron thrust into a matching thrust from the Warlord, who was leading in the score and thereby secured the win, 5 - 4 in 10 rounds.
Once the duck was performed in order to give G'nort a typing point at 3-3, he knew then and there that the match was over and that he'd emerge victorious. Indeed, shortly following, G'nort controlled the match, taking the lead and trading blows to secure the victory. The match wasn't as close as the score makes it seem.

12/03/98: From the History of the Fourth Barons Title.
Regarding Zen Rising and his fall as a Baron, where G'nort defended the ring, himself. "The Baron's fall came at his own hand, when he failed to respond in a timely manner to a challenge issued him by Warlord Evan Faline. The Barons Council stripped him of rank and set Baron of the Ninth, G'nort Dragoon Talanador, to defend the ring in his stead. Baron and Warlord met and fought hard, and for more than half the duel the score was tied between them. But in the latter part G'nort was able to pull ahead, and at the end of 11 rounds he defeated the Warlord 5.5 - 3. The ring was placed as a prize in the Warlord Tourney, which began the next day."

01/26/99: Almost four months after taking the 9th Ring, Baron G'nort faced challenge by Warlord Galin Taelca. The match remained close-fought for the entire 8 rounds, but the Baron was never able to bypass the lead originally taken by Galin. His 5 - 3 victory gave him the Barony and made the 9th ring Renegade to Overlord Dalamar. Finally, this was a challenge that at first seemed to come from someone deemed unworthy, or at least not entirely respectable. In later days, it was pleasing that Galin was the one holding the ring, as he showed himself to be a decent sort, worthy of respect and honor.

09/28/99: It was four months past after Galin's first defense, when Former ring holder of the 9th, G'nort Dragoon Talanador, Me, set forth challenge. Galin publicly announced that he found me to be an honorable and good man. Neither contenders held any grudges and both Warlord and Baron wished an honorable match. As it was wished by both duelists, the challenge was founded to be one of the most honorable matches in history. The magic number was nine as well, as in the 9th month of the 99th year. Gnort did defeat Galin, 5-4 in 9 rounds. I aligned myself Renegade to the Overlord. It was also close to the 9th anniversary that I lost this title to Galin. The rings title was Ring 99. Everything involving this match was Nine. Eerie, no?

04/19/00: After the building of severe annoyance and distaste for the Arena, the majority of the patrons, the disrespect and self proclaimed superior mentality going on, the fact that he gained headaches and a feeling of disgust whenever anything from the Arena was mentioned to him, G'nort retired his title of Baron of the Ninth. This came just over a week after having been challenged for that title by K'yorl Jarlaxel. His final request was that the 9th ring be championed by someone on the council who did indeed still care for the Duels. And it was Galin Taelca, former holder of the 9th, who was chosen. And as he did the time he previously held the title, Galin defeated the challenger, which placed the ring into the next Tournament.

4/20/00: G'nort feels like an incredible burden has been lifted from him upon leaving the Dueling Arena, and now can concentrate on family and his Tavern. Trips are planned, vacations to be taken, and most of all, a sense of relaxation can now take place.

6/10/01: Gnort, after taking a nice, long, relaxing vacation upon where he married some psycho cheiftess on a nice tropical island, therefore becoming Chief and owner of said Island, returns to the Arena and gets reinstated as Warlord.

8/15/01: Gnort finally and completely divorces his wife, Ariana Dragoon, cause she's never home and who knows who she's sleeping with or around now. Oh well. Aside from that, the woman grew to beastly proportions, one would say global due to her massive girth. Glad to be rid of her now, for the bonbons had been taking up as much space as the woman herself.

9/04/01: Former Baron of the Fourth ring, G'nort Dragoon Talanador, would win the Warlord Tournament. G'nort battled through twenty-three other competitors to go undefeated, and claim the Fourth ring. He aligned himself Renegade to Overlord Cletus Ganderfald.

4/11/02: Having been bored of total lack of challenges going on, Gnort made threats and harassed many others, then finally downright Begged for a challenger to come after his title, which he had consistently forgotten he had due to such lack of activity in trying to challenge for it. Finally, Jaycynda Ashleana got her Peer Wins settled properly, and after about 24 hours or so, fought for the Title just to get it done and out of the way. Gnort lost 5-4 and became a Warlord ... which will be more to do for him than he had to do as a Baron.

7/28/02: For nearly a year, Daelin Dragonsblade remained unchallenged and watched as five new Overlords ascended to the throne. Ironically enough, when Daelin was challenged for the third and final time, Cletus Ganderfald was Overlord once more. The challenge came from many time Baron, G'nort Dragoon Talanador, and was issued for the simple reason that Daelin had not been challenged in quite some time. This challenged lacked the seriousness and pressure that most challenges held because the two were friends. Throughout the letter of challenge, the acceptance of challenge, and the actual duel itself, the two poked fun at each other and kept the challenge lighthearted and entertaining. The challenge itself belonged entirely to G'nort. Needing only two duels, G'nort defeated Daelin 5-4 in twelve rounds, and 5.5-3.5 in fifteen rounds to once more hold the rank of Baron.

11/14/02: G'nort's first challenge was set to come from Warlord Jehanne Sana, however she withdrew the challenge shortly after a date had been set.

12/10/02: G'norts first Complete challenge came from Warlord Cletus Ganderfald. There was a air of bravado in the Annex this night as the two egos met within the Ring of Honor. Gnort decided upon a one duel format and was seconded by Cassius Maximus Cletus stood alone.
The duel was a back and forth match with each man leading on occasion. When the dust had settled, Gnort did defend his title by the score of 5.5-4.5 in 13 rounds and all were in love once again.

01/01/03: Having been named supreme ruler of the Island of Urnst, and with sudden, repeated financial success with HDT Enterprises merchandising of Team CDR, and other TDL teams, G'nort begins expanding into other divisions. HDT Enterprises becomes an international conglomerate, and begins purchasing lands and titles of several nations. Ursnt Island grows into a strong nation, due to technological alliances with the Gnomes from Kalnar.

01-10-2003: G'nort pronounces Juri Maeda "Seiyuu" of Urnst, the political leader of the country to make decisions in his stead. He retains absolute power, but leaves the regular running of the nation to her.

04/21/2003: G'nort's second challenge came from Warlord Grayson MacLeod. Once more, G'nort's challenge was a long and grueling single match. In a long sixteen round duel, G'nort once more defended the First with a 8-6.5 victory. G'nort's next move came as a challenge to Overlord Max Quinlan Blue. However, he was unable to defeat the Overlord.

05/19/04: It is said that the third time is a charm, however that was not the case with G'nort's third defense of the ring. But, it was the case with Cletus Ganderfald's third challenge for the First ring. As in their previous challenge for the First, this was also a single match that lasted thirteen rounds. With a 5-3.5 victory by the challenger, G'nort's reign came to an end a mere two months before his two-year anniversary.

04/30/2006: With nearly three months before the next Warlord's tournament, the Duel of Swords staff decided to hold a special King of the Ring event to find the next Barony of Dockside. Only ten duelers were invited to the event which pitted all ten opponents in the ring at the same time. The invitations for the ten duelers were handed out based on a competition that spanned four weeks of regular dueling. Of the ten who received invitations, the duo of G'nort Dragoon Talanador and Kaja Adair proved it takes teamwork to survive a battle royal. Reportedly lovers at the time, G'nort and Kaja teamed up on the unsuspecting until they were the only two left in the ring. At that point, G'nort did the gentlemanly thing to do and flipped Kaja out of the ring to win the event himself. With his victory, G'nort claimed the Barony of Dockside.

Late 2006: On a relaxing voyage away from the things of Man and Rhydinians, G'nort lay in bed with Kaja. After a few hours of exerting sexual escapades, G'nort suggested that it would be romantic and fitting for the pair of them to get married. Kaja seemed to agree that it was a really awesome idea as well. So, when they reached the first port, they found themselves a government official with whom powers of wedlock were given. G'nort and Kaja then became married in a short but sweet wedding ceremony. Naturally, G'nort had a prenuptual agreement signed, though neither one would be worse for wear should they divorce financially. They are currently still married.

02/13/2007: Challenges were scarce to a dueler of G'nort's caliber. Thus, G'nort's first challenge came months into his career. The challenge came from Ticallion Carter and was part of a group of challenges issued by a group known as the Wrecking Crew. The group had made a name for itself in the Team Dueling League and was now seeking to control a majority of the Baron's council. However, Tical's challenge would be the extent of what he could offer as G'nort bested him with a shut out. 5-0 in 6 rounds.

04/10/2007: Three weeks shy of his one year anniversary, G'nort faced challenge from Grandmaster Jaycynda Ashleana. Jaycy was bestowed the Overlord grant by Overlord Anjolie Quinn in part because Jaycy had a desire to see all of the titles in the Duel of Swords held by women. At the time of her challenge, five of the eight titles were in female hands, with the Old Market District lying vacant. After Jaycy was through with G'nort, that number jumped to six. Jaycy overcame an early two point deficit to rally back and defeat G, 5.5 – 4 in sixteen rounds.

05/20/2007: Just over a month after losing the Dockside Barony, Top seeded G'nort cut a swath through the first DoS Madness tournament, defeating the likes of Lorance Sneggle, Rakeesh Sah Tarna, Maria Graziano, and Tarl Cabot on his way to earning the top prize of the Barony of The Old Market District.

09/02/07: In the third part of his triple challenge, Warlord Bran Bale challenged G'nort for The Old Market District. On the same day Bran issued challenge to G'nort, he also challenged for an Opal in the Outback, and a Tower on Twilight Island. He was victorious in both of his other challenges, and the momentum was on his side when he met G'nort. Unfortunately for Bran, G'nort's experience in the ring showed early and eliminated whatever momentum Bran had entering the match.

To keep in line with Bran's other challenges, G'nort chose a best of three format. G'nort won the first match five to one in six rounds before dropping the second, six to five in eighteen. G'nort was facing a four-to-three deficit in the final match before blocking a double cut by Bran to take the match in eleven rounds.
